Abigail was awarded the panther of the month at her school. that man is the principal of the school and yes they are all in there pajamas to. It was pajama day at the school so we all look like we just got out of bed. this is a big deal and a big awarded, she was picked out of 8 classrooms of kindergartners. that means the teacher recognized Abby for her kind heart and her willingness to help out in the class and her big smile everyday that she has on. I was choking up the whole family got to come and take a picture with the principal. It is a very big deal. her name will be on the wall at the school all year.

yes it is hot on this day . the kids found some little water dripping out of the top of this play tree so of coarse they HAD to get in it. they had so much fun running back and forth from the play ground to the water we were there for two hours and they still didn't want to go home. I don't even thing this thing was suppose to be on I think it is broken. Kids and water go hand in hand they are drawn to it. Olivia even wanted to get wet!

this is what the kids look like on the way to school. Abby said something funny to me the other day. (there school mascot is a panther) Abby came home from school and said that her school really liked the black panther and they cheer for that animal. she said that the panther is the only animal at school that they cheer for. I don't think she understands the concept of a mascot. I just had to laugh when she was telling me about the school assembly they had.

It is so fun to watch them walk to school everyday.

Abby had so much fun celebrating her birthday with these people. first her Dad and then two girls in her primary class. her and the two girls all turned 6 on the same day Abby had a blast. we meet at the park and had pizza and cupcakes the kids all loved it.

Our family is getting into Lego's lately that is what our kids asked for for there Birthdays. We went to the Space Center and they had this display of Lego's out. Everything was made out of Lego's it was cool!!!!! yes he is taller then me all made out of Lego's....

We went to the space center, and now we have a year pass, It was so much fun. there is a ton to learn and see. The space program is so amazing. The kids can't wait to go back.

The Capital

The Capital of Texas. As a family we visited the Capital in Austin. In school Megan has been learning about Texas History she knew a lot of stuff. I felt like we had our own personal tour guide. It made for a fun family get a way we enjoyed looking around, it was cool. The only problem was that the slats were really wide apart, Jaxon wanted to see down to the bottom he put his whole body through the slats. It scared me so bad I almost had a heart attack. That night it kept playing over and over in my head and I could not sleep. I am thankful nothing happened.

This is Skiperde the kids named this turtle after finding him in our backyard the other day. We only kept him for a few days then we found out that he eats bugs and other meat so I said no to keeping him. He also eats kids fingers. Kayla was not to happy after she got bit. We let him go in our yard and we have not seen him since. It was fun to watch him for a while.

The first thing the Kids did when we came to Texas was climb the Trees we have five of them in our Back yard. Megan is wearing yellow rain boots. I got the kids some rain boots so that they could play outside without getting there shoes wet. the only day it rained was on Sunday right before church since I got them the boots. they love them so much they wore them everyday anyway.

The kids did very well on the trip to Texas. they were little angles in the car. Thanks to there aunt Brittany who gave them each a goody bag with all kinds of fun things to do in the car in them. she even made them special by sowing on there names on the front of each bag. Our friends Trisha and Becky also gave me a bag full of rapped presents to give out at various times during the trip. Each present had something to do and the kids loved it. Megan told me the other day that she thought that it was not a very long trip. When we came to the town where we were going to get a Hotel and bed down for the night it was midnight but all the Hotels were full. we had to go to the next town. they were full to. we went down the freeway wondering if we were going to make it to a Hotel that had an open bed or if we were going to have to pull over and sleep on the side of the road. finally out of thin air it seemed a Motel and we went to bed. it was 4 in the morning.

Christmas was good at the Rice Home! The kids were all very happy and Abby got her big lolly pop. That is all she wanted for Christmas. surprisingly I had a hard time finding it. that was weird. I also had a hard time finding a yo yo and a pogo stick I gave up on those after a while. Kayla was asking for those things. in the end we had a great Christmas. I got what I wanted and that was Kevin home for Christmas That was expensive but it was the best Present.

the day after I came home from the hospital with Olivia. Kevin came home from work, they let a bunch of people go. Now we have a job offer it is in Texas Huston. can anyone tell me about Huston I have never been there myself. I am so thankful for the church, and that I will be able to have friends no matter where I live.

Megan and Kayla just started school and Megan loves it, she is a social butterfly and has lots of friends. Kayla is not so excited about school, making friends doesn't come so easy for her. they are both sad to leave there friends and cousins. We have had so many new changes. it has been a crazy July for us.

every one I talk to says that I will love it in Huston. I hope I do because I am going to be along way away from family. I don't know when the time to move will come we still are waiting to hear back from the company for all the details. I do have the feeling everything will work out.

Two weeks ago Kevin's dad past away. We loved him, and we will miss him, and all the things we did together. We also know that he is in a good place now and he has no pain. I bet he is meeting all those Ancestors he did genealogy for, and he is probably excited to get to know them. Now he has past all that good genealogy work that he has done down to us and we are now responsible for it. I am thankful that I could spend the last twelve years getting to know Kevin's dad and I want to remember all the things he did and said so I can tell my children story's about him.

Raising a boy!
Raising a boy is fun and a whole new experience for us. From the vary beginning he loved cars. I realized I needed to get him some, only after he started stealing the Polly pocket cars from the girls, and making them cry. On Sunday at church we happened to park our car by a really nice Corvette, it was yellow and Jaxon noticed it before anyone else. He just kept on saying yellow car cool car over and over again. then when he got out of the car he ran to it, and pointed right at it and kept saying "cooool car coool car". Kevin asked him if we should get one like that, and he said "yes". Now Kevin thinks he needs a car like that, because Jaxon will love it.
oh his favorite show on TV is overhauling. It is a show where they take old cars and give them a make over. He will sit through the whole thing.

Mothers Day
mothers day was great my girls spoiled me rotten. Megan was so excited to wake up and get me breakfast in bed that she was the first one up. I was greeted by her at 6:30 in the morning with eggs and toast. When I looked over to see if Kevin had helped her he was still in bed. The eggs were great Megan did a wonderful job! While I ate she gave me a awesome foot massage. when the others Kayla and Abby woke up, they showered me with cards and gifts and told me how much they loved me. Abby just wanted to keep giving me hugs and kisses. Kevin then got out of bed and went and started cleaning the house. And taking care of all the kids needs so that I did not have to worry. I felt so blessed and so loved. I thank my Heavenly Father every day for my Family. Being the Mom is not always the most fun, it is lots of work, and the work never seems to end, but it is the moments like these that make it all worth it!

Now that Grandpa is closer to us in a Mesa rehab we can see him more often. When ever we go Jaxon lights up everyone face. He smiles and waves at everyone he sees. They all love it. When we see Grandpa He climbs up onto the bed and sits right next to him. I bring grandpa a sucker so he can give Jaxon one. Even without the sucker Jaxon still wants to sit by his grandpa. Grandpa is very happy when every we come to see him. He always says that it is a special treat. Grandpa is doing very well we hope he is out soon.

This last week has been so much fun! We Had Abbys Birthday Right during Conference so we were able to go over to my Brothers house and Celebrate His little girl had a birthday too and she had a Straw Barry shortcake party. we ate strawberry cupcakes and played pin the strawberry on Strawberry shortcake. It is so much fun to live by my brother and sister. we had awesome food and awesome company.
Then this last weekend we went on the ward camp out it was so much fun. they had a skit portion and Megan recited a poem. she is following after her grandpas footsteps. the young women (including me)because I am in young women had to dance in front of everyone. it was funny. The camp had a swing hanging from a tree the kids loved. we played kick ball and wiffle ball. The kids just loved to be able to run around were ever they wanted with there friends. Jaxon and Abby loved playing in the dirt.
Today is Kevins birthday and Megan and Kayla as a surprise for him Made him egg burritos and chocolate Milk then served it to him in bed. then to top it all off they rubbed his feet while he ate. He loved it. Abby told him that she was going to get him a pretty princess present. He was excited!

Well I am going to Keep Blogging I read some of your comments just now. well at least two of your comments and I am going to try what Ina said to do to get my pics smaller. Dyana I will try not to give up on blogging. It is fun to read others blogs so I need to keep one to so people know what is going on with me.

We discovered a few weeks ago that my Daughter had sleep apnea really bad. so we went and got her tonsils and Adenoids out. She is sleeping soooooo much better. she dose not toss and turn she doesn't snore or sleepwalk or have horrible nightmares (all signs of sleep apnea)any more. I am so happy for her. she use to cry every night before bed and say that she would not go to bed because her night mares were so bad. also her hair is manageable in the mourning because it is not all knotted up from tossing and turning. Megan is getting better sleep to because her snoring is gone. one more thing we don't have to worry anymore about her walking out of the house at night because she dose not sleep walk anymore. It was the best thing for her. another thing that I have noticed she is doing so much better on her school work. she can concentrate so much easier. and the improvements she has made in reading are amazing.

Funny story The girls watched Mulan 2 the other day. In it one of the princesses writes a letter to her dad she tells him that she can not obey him because she has to follow her heart. Abby my three year old must have been paying close attention to that part. a couple of days latter we were at the store and she asked me for some candy. I told her no then she said but mom my heart says yes. then I said "but I said no". she protested all the way out of the store that her heart told her yes. I did not get why she was saying that until the other day my girls were watching that show again. It made me Laugh out loud.

Good story the other day our Hamster Cookie Cuddle Rice got lost some were in our house. we looked everywhere the girls were so upset. I asked them to pray, and we would find it. Megan my oldest already said 4 prayers. I said lets all pray together. After the prayer I felt confident that we would be able to find Cookie. I wondered how long it was going to take. I was worried because, my friend from out of town had some time set aside to see me (I had not seen her in 5 years) and I did not want to miss out. Also I did not want my kids to be upset while we were there visiting with her. I knew we had to find Cookie before we left. As I was looking in my closet I said my own prayer. I told Heavenly Father that I knew that our prayers were going to be answered and that we would find Cookie. I asked him if we could find him quick, so I could go and see my friend, and the kids would be happy. 2 min after my prayer He was found making noise underneath the freezer. I am so thankful for prayer in my life countless times my prayers have been answered no matter how small or how big the situation. I love my Heavenly Father and I know he loves me. I can see that everyday of my life.

Welcome everyone to our blog. I just started a blog so I could show off my kids in some pictures. I hope my mom will start to use the computer so she can also see these pictures. (we are still trying to teach her how to use her mouse). I hope now that all of us (my brothers and sister) have blogs it will motivate her a little more. My sister just started a blog. I was over at her house when she was setting it up it looked like fun, and now here I am.
another reason is I have lived in three different States, and I feel like this will be an easy way to help everyone see what the Rices are up to. I hope not to disappoint anyone but we are not up to no good. We are only trying to be good. we are happy going to church and doing our church callings and watching our children grow. except they are growing to fast I wish they would not do that, But Megan and Kayla keep telling me that they won't stop.
